Is the northern flying squirrel endangered?
Though the population of squirrels is stable and increasing, in the years 1985 the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service classified the Northern flying squirrel as endangered, due to the population of northern flying squirrel declined as a result of habitat loss, caused by forest clearing and recreational activities.
